From ancient times, The Seven Sayings which our Lord spoke from the cross have been the object of Christian devotion, especially during the sacred season of Lent.

They speak dramatically and painfully of His awesome suffering for the sins of the world.  But they also, therefore, speak comfort and hope to those who trust Christ’s sacrifice for their forgiveness and salvation.
